How to Update Microchip Owner and Emergency Contact Information

Your pet's microchip only works if the contact details on it are current, so keep them updated whenever you move house or change your phone number. If your pet is already missing, what to do first when a dog or cat goes missing covers the rest.

Updating Contact Details

Once you have logged into your Adopterluv account, follow these steps to update your own contact information or your emergency contact information:

1. Click the Microchips button in the main menu.

2. To edit your contact details, click the Edit Contact Information button at the bottom of the Microchips page, make your updates, and click the Save button.

3. To edit your emergency contact details, click the Edit Emergency Contact button at the bottom of the Microchips page, make your updates, and click the Save button.
