Microchipping is an important first step in protecting your pet, but it's only part of the process. Without registration, there's no way to link the microchip to you—registration is what allows shelters or veterinarians to contact you if your pet is found.

Myth: “I don’t need to do anything—my microchip is already registered”

Reality: Adopterluv microchips are automatically registered at the time of adoption, but it is your responsibility to ensure your contact information stays current over time.

Here are some examples of when to update your registry profile:
